This 5 piece “old timey” band features a fiddle that can play “hoe down”and even Cajun music! They will only be playing for a couple hours though, so be sure to show up by 11:00 and you should be sure to hear a great show!
This is the last weekend to get pumpkins too so bring out the family and enjoy a beautiful fall day at May Farms!
Today May Farms delivered over 200 pumpkins as part of our Annual Children’s Hospital Pumpkin Patch. Kids who may not be able to leave the grounds are able to come down stairs and get a holiday pumpkin to place in their room. Making the pumpkin patch available right outside of the hospital doors makes it easy for the kids where as many can not handle the exertion or risk being too far from the amenities of the hospital. In addition to the patients at Children’s Hospital there are several siblings who spend long days with family and this gives them an opportunity to pick their fall pumpkin as making it out to the patch may be an impossiblity for the parents because of the needs of another child.
DUE TO THE WET WEATHER WE HAVE BEEN FORCED TO SUSPEND SOME OF OUR ACTIVITIES TODAY OCTOBER 6TH!
The mud will restrict access to all outdoor activities today including hay rides, barrel train and hay bale maze.
PUMPKINS ARE AVAILABLE FOR SELECTION AND THE RC PULL WILL STILL TAKE PLACE INSIDE THE (WARM AND TOASTY) BUILDING.
ADMISSION IS FREE – FOOD AND DRINK AVAILABLE!

It’s right around the corner! We welcome each season on the farm as they all are beautiful but the Harvest season is one of our favorites. Rich fall colors, cooler days and a time to bring in crops from the fields. We open our gates to families to share in this tradition and make it one of your own. Pick pumpkins and other produce, take a hay ride, visit the barnyard while you are here. Most of all – breathe deep and enjoy that crisp country air. We look forward to making our tradition yours this fall! Click here for more information about the Fall Harvest Festival.
This particular weekend of the fall festival – October 6th we will be also showcasing the annual 5280 Club RC Pulling Competition and Annual Mustang car show too! If you have a Mustang that you’d like to enter – Please give us a call! There is fun to be had by all!
Today we are planting our pumpkin patch! This is a very exciting time of year for us as we get to see the farm transform from brown open space to lush fields of green. It all begins with Grant May behind the wheel of an old John Deere tractor, plowing the way for a tiny seed . You’ll see in these pictures a larger tractor with bins which contain the seed, dropping them in to the ground in nice straight lines 4 rows at a time. Our first year we planted our pumpkin seeds by hand… We will continue to update you on the growth of the pumpkins so you can see the patch grow. These pumpkins should be ready 100 days from now.
We are planting 10 varieties of pumpkins including:
Magic Lantern, Aladdin, Wee -B- Little, Big Doris, Atlantic Giant, Polar Bear, Jack-O-Lantern, Red Warty Things, Magic Wand and Candy Corn. The Candy corn pumpkins will be used for our pumpkin launcher this fall!
Today we are planting the corn maze! Did you know that May Farms has a corn maze every fall just minutes from Denver in Byers, Colorado? This will be the 8th year for May Farms Fall Festival, Pumpkin Patch and Corn Maze. You can see it from the interstate (on the South side of I-70) so next time you drive by make sure to give us a honk or a wave if we’re out working in the corn field, pumpkin patch or garden. We can’t wait to have you visit this fall!
